FIRE CHIEF SUSPENDED ONE WEEK WITHOUT PAY November 22, 2013 - KSDK CHESTERFIELD - The Monarch Fire Protection District Board of Directors released its decision on the future of its assistant fire chief. In a 2-1 decision, Assistant Chief John Borgmann, a 30-year veteran of the department, was suspended for one week without pay, according to a release from the fire district. The board voted in a closed meeting Tuesday and released the results of the meeting Friday. Supporters say Borgmann is being penalized for speaking out of turn. |
