Shrewsbury Fire Chief William P. Fox has died, city leaders announced late Saturday.
Fox, 64, served in area fire departments for nearly 42 years, according to the announcement by the Missouri Fire Service Funeral Assistance Team. He began his career in the early 1970s in Berkeley, and joined Shrewsbury as chief in 1989, the announcement said.
